Awarded for meritorious service in a combat zone with the 82nd Airborne.
Purple Heart
Awarded for wounds received in action, July 25, 2012, Afghanistan.
Legion of Merit
Awarded for exceptionally meritorious conduct across a twenty-year career.
Meritorious Service Medal
Awarded for outstanding non-combat achievement and service.
Order of Saint Maurice
Named an awardee of the order honouring the patron saint of the Infantry.
Ranger Class 5-04
Graduated Ranger School at Fort Benning, alongside Jumpmaster, Pathfinder and Air Assault.
Seven World Majors
Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York, Tokyo and Sydney. Roughly 5,000 runners have finished all seven. Five are amputees. Two are double amputees. He is one of the two.
BBA
Completed his Bachelor's in Business Administration while still recovering from his injuries.
NACo Annual Conference
Selected as a keynote speaker for the National Association of Counties annual conference.

Achilles International
Cedric serves on the board and races with the Achilles Freedom Team, the programme that puts athletes with disabilities on start lines around the world. He is a proud Achilles runner first — the board seat came afterwards.
Ambassadors Council
Gary Sinise Foundation
Appointed to the foundation's Ambassadors Council for his work as a motivational speaker. In 2016 the foundation broke ground on a specially adapted smart home for Cedric and his family.

An ambassador for the fund, which supports wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured service members and their families across every branch of the armed forces.
